A.J. Abrams led the No. 7 Texas Longhorns with 26 points as they defeated the No. 10 Minnesota Golden Gophers 76-62 in the first round of the NCAA tournament Thursday night at Greensboro Coliseum.

Texas covered the 5-point spread, and the combined 138 points made it OVER the posted total of 127.

Dexter Pittman chipped in with 17 points for Texas. Lawrence Westbrook led Minnesota with 19 points in the loss.
